glp 1 weight loss timeline of GLP-1 discovery and clinical development. (a) Key events in GLP-1 Weight Loss: What to

The combination of redox buffering and inflammatory damping is a recurring theme across the compound's reported applications

If heart rate is bothersome: Reduce caffeine (compounds effect)

The NADPH Connection The most direct link involves NADPH (the phosphorylated version of NAD+)

GLP-1 effects on the brain The GLP-1 receptor is expressed in the hypothalamus, brainstem, and other parts of the central nervous system, helping GLP-1 drugs to reduce body weight by decreasing hunger and increasing feelings of satiety

Jean-Pierre Raufman , working with biochemist John Eng , discovered that the Gila monster (a desert reptile) produces in its saliva a peptide that mimics GLP-1s action but is not rapidly destroyed by DPP-4 ( [45] ) ( [46] )
