From an extraordinary poetic career

The Submissive by Eleanor Tennyson you are mistaken distinctive and celebrated collection ofEleanor Tennyson's fixation on seduction and power reshapes contemporary lyric with subversive glamour. These poems question the ethically familiar, jolting the reader off well trodden paths into an undergrowth where the ruinous, the sacred, and the profane glint and starve in uneasy proximity. Desire rattles through the scrub, fragmenting and reassembling like a fresco of splendour and decay. It grows our appetite again for the magic of poetry.
