Lincolnshire D&H 3b Sleaford Soho Choice brown and Proof-likeObv: Bust facing left, IOHN OF GAUNT DUKE OF LANCASTER around. Rev: Shield of arms, SUCCESS TO NAVIGATION around. Edge: Plain. Uncirculated and Choice brown. Lutwyche created the Sleaford tokens for Thomas Ball, a grocer in Sleaford. This is the plain edge variety. Lusk agrees with Dykes thought that the use of the two already used dies are a symptom of Balls frugality and not evidence of it being a specious token. Difficult to find in high grade.
