Design For Urne Buriall–Funeral Pyre (1932), Paul Nash loetschberg casting vibrant pinksA stark funeral pyre, built of stacked logs, burns with a ghostly, upward curling flame. A classical building sits atop the structure, while a disembodied hand rests gently on the grassy foreground. The monochrome pencil drawing, from 1932, carries a profound sense of historical weight and somber reflection, a silent elegy etched in graphite.
